Welcome from Oakdale Baptist Church!

We want to thank you for taking the time to browse through our website. As you do, we hope that it is evident we are a Church that is committed to connecting people with God through Jesus Christ. That's why we're here! And we do that in a variety of ways. First, we do it personally through knowing Christ ourselves and making Him known to others. Secondly, we do it practically through serving Christ both in the Edgecombe and Nash County areas, as well as all across the globe. And thirdly, we do it passionately by sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus to anyone who will listen! We want to see people become all they can be for Christ, and that's why we're so thrilled that you're looking through our site. We trust what you find here will be a benefit to your relationship with God, and we hope to see you this Sunday for worship on our campus!

On February 7, 2016 Oakdale Baptist Church welcomed Pastor Mike Dixon, and his family into this fellowship. Pastor Mike has been in full-time southern baptist ministry since 1991, serving four N.C. churches as pastor.  Pastor Mike also served as Executive Director of Hope Ministries Inc., a 501 nonprofit biblical counseling center, in Kinston, N.C. for 10 years (2003-2013).  In 2015 his book, "Casting Down Idols through the Power of the Gospel", was published by Westbow Press, offering biblical hope for those struggling under addictions.  Pastor Mike is a two time graduate of  Liberty University and holds a Master of Divinity with Biblical Counseling degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He and his wife Melissa have been married for over 30 years, have three daughters, Sarah, Michaela and Hannah. Hannah, their youngest, is an early college high school student studying at Nash Community College.  We welcome the Dixons to Oakdale Baptist Churc
