Oakdale Baptist Church is thrilled to welcome Pastor Brandon Watson as our new Senior Pastor! A Brunswick County native, Brandon brings 20 years of pastoral experience and a deep passion for missions and outreach. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and his M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
After completing his studies, Brandon married his wife, Krissy, and together they have been blessed with a daughter, Claire. Outside of ministry, Brandon enjoys playing Fantasy Football and spending quality time with his family. He also serves with both Baptist on Missions and with the Baptist State Convention, as well as participated in numerous mission trips across multiple countries.
Krissy Watson shares Brandon’s passion for missions and brings her own unique gifts to their ministry. She serves as the Dental Ministry Coordinator for N.C. Baptists on Mission (NCBM), overseeing the scheduling and promotion of two mobile dental units that host clinics across the state. With over 18 years of experience as a certified dental assistant, Krissy has also participated in numerous medical and dental mission trips to Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua. She holds an associate’s degree in health science/dental assisting from Florence Darlington Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in Christian studies from Anderson University.
Felecia has been an Oakdale member for over 30 years and was recently hired to the Director of Family Ministry position. She has a a varied background as a nurse, clinical educator, Classical Conversations community director, and homeschool mom among other things. She has been actively involved in both the Children and Youth Ministries at Oakdale for the last decade and trained under the previous youth pastor in family dicipleship and relational ministry. She has her Masters in Nursing and Education from East Carolina University, and is currently in the Ministry Certificate program at Southeastern Seminary. Felecia is looking forward to growing and discipling the children, youth and families at Oakdale.
Angie grew up at Oakdale and has been involved in the Music Ministry since childhood. She leads the adult & children's choirs and VBS. She has a BA in music education from NC Wesleyan College and Masters in Education from East Carolina Univeristy
Sharon has been with Oakdale since 2007. Born in Grand Forks, ND, she served in the Navy for 4 years while stationed in Italy. This is where she met her husband before being discharged and moving to Rocky Mount. She has her Associate Degree from the North Dakota State School of Science.
